2. Fire-Resistant Siding Materials:
When selecting exterior finishes, we recommend noncombustible materials such as stone, brick, or stucco. These options not only enhance the aesthetic of your custom home but also offer added protection against fire.

3. Fire-Resistant Roofing:
Consider roofing materials such as slate, copper, concrete, or other stone and metal options. Many of these are rated Class A for fire resistance — the highest available — and offer both durability and peace of mind.

4. Relocating the Home’s Footprint:
If your property allows, rebuilding farther from heavily vegetated or high-risk areas can reduce your home’s exposure to wildfire threats.

5. Additional Protective Measures:
We also advise the use of fire-rated windows and doors, properly sealed to prevent embers from entering through gaps or vents. Keeping the immediate surroundings of your home clear of flammable materials — such as overgrown vegetation, wood structures, and debris — further enhances safety.
