We have experience building homes that are fire resistant. This home is one of them. There are a few inexpensive things you can do to help prevent fire damage to your home like limiting the amount of exposed lumber under soffits, using fire resistant facia board like Hardy cement board. Protecting your rafters under your eves with stucco or cement board also helps. Standard venting is probably one of the most vulnerable spots in your home because embers enter these vents and catch the attic space on fire. Using fire resistant vents can help with that. We have used Brandguard Vents for many of the homes we have built recently.
